The CFD community at the Department of Ocean Engineering at Texas A&M University was formed in 2021. Its purpose is to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing between its members. All faculty and students at the Department are welcome to join; as well as anyone with an interest in maritime CFD at the University, in Texas or beyond.
This website provides two main ways to attain the purpose of the community. Firstly, the members page contains a list of all current members, their CFD-related interests, what codes they are using and their contact information. This gives an easy overview of who to contact when looking for advice on a particular problem, collaboration or mentoring. Secondly, the resources page contains both internal and external resources related to marine CFD. A searchable "wiki"-style archive of articles, on the topic of marine CFD, written by the community members can be used to avoid duplicate work when searching for solutions to a particular problem.
